About Moorea
Moorea Malatt (mo-ray-uh muh-lot) is a writer, poet, folk-singer, burlesque dancer and performance artist. She has combined her creative success with helping people in her business practice, Metamorphosis Life Coaching. She supports women and queers of all genders in balancing finances and relationships with their artistic goals.
She holds a self-designed BA from Fairhaven College, Western Washington University in “Psychologies of Sex and Gender Through Creative Writing.” Her other academic loves in life are bird and marine biology, ecology and feminist studies and femininity.
She enjoys shopping (especially clearance racks, artisan-made products and local food), air-hockey, salsa dancing and running with her mutt named “Mu.” She is passionate about health care for transsexual-identified persons, queer marriage and fair labor with a Buddhist perspective on social justice.
Moorea was born a “valley girl” from Los Angeles and spent five years in Bellingham, WA and three years in Seattle. She is currently writing a book called “Beauty for Feminists” and speaking to her Life Coaching clients by phone from her current writing retreat of Portland, OR. She would love to receive emails from fabulous artists and performers in the queer community. You can reach her at by writing to: moorea@queercents.com
