How to Make a Free To-Do List
@ 11:44 amI was standing in line at Target recently and while waiting for the lady ahead of me to pay for the 10 packs of bottled water, my eyes dropped down to the right side, to the things hanging in the “impulse buying” area.
There was a nicely packaged batch of papers that had “To Do” at the top and simple decorations down the side. I leaned down and saw it had 50 sheets for $1.99. What? $1.99 for 50 sheets of paper! I don’t know what disturbed me more, selling a ‘to do’ list or pricing it at $1.99 for 50 sheets.
A ‘to do’ list isn’t that hard to make. Grab a piece of paper about 4×6 or smaller and write “TO DO” at the top. If you want decorations, use a highlighter or marker to fancy it up. If you not very artistic, try this “to do” list from the Bounty site. Now you have a to do list and 1.99 still in your pocket.
You don’t even need to buy paper, use the envelopes from the junk mail you receive or the back side of printed paper - Just don’t buy one, PLEASE!

I used to do that all the time with old notebooks. If I knew I wasn’t going to fill it before the end of the semester, then I’d just rip out a page and make my to-do list. If they were short, I’d tear it in half and save the other for the next day.

Dawn, how do you find such things like the Bounty list maker? That is both a hilarious and sad commentary on gender roles. *shakes head*

I will admit to once “wasting” money on list paper pads– but they said in big font on the top “Homosexual Agenda”. I liked to use them for shopping lists, but I would always put something as a shocker on the top like:
1) Take over the world
2) Buy milk, eggs, mac & cheese (on sale w/ coupon)

Mrs Micah - I also do that, learned it from my mom, left over paper gets ripped into sizes of 3×5 and stapled for a notepad
Mapgirl- I dunno, I such search and they find me.
Gender roles? There are no stinkin’ gender roles in the world! (wink)
DivaJean - Oh yeah, can you see that at Target, a nice list of ways to take over the world with our ‘agenda’ for everyone to see…. how flippin’ normal (and boring) we are!

[…] If you click over to the article, you can print out a copy of the Financial Goals Worksheet to list your goals. (As Dawn reminded us last week, there isn’t any reason to spend money in order to make your list!) […]
