June marks the beginning of Pride Month ‘” a time for us to come together and recognize the hard-won fights of the LGBTQ+ community and our continued efforts to ensure equality for all.

This year we’re recognizing the history of Pride as a political movement.   Pride was born out of the Stonewall Riots, the political demonstrations led by queer and trans Black women like Marsha P. Johnson and Stormé DeLarverie  to fight police brutality and the institutional homophobia, transphobia, and racism the LGBTQ+ community has faced.

Make a commitment to recognize the political roots of pride ‘” Say the names of those brave folks who fought for equality at the Stonewall Riots and show your pride through free  posters.
