New Series Alert: Last week, Rachel Gollay launched a series about grad school finances. This week, it’s all about home economics or ‘œhomemaking’ as it was dubbed in the era of Mad Men. In this day, Michael Moy is the one staying home. Michael is in a long term relationship with his partner of 13 years, creating ‘“ as he describes it ‘“ the perfect marriage between finance and the arts. He commented on one of John’s posts awhile back about his transition from traditional employment to something less defined:

Over the years, we had settled into being ‘œcomfortable.’ There was no mortgage or car payment. There was enough in the coffers to retire well. There was nothing that required me to work, and my partner’s job had gotten increasingly larger and required more of him. So we took the plunge. I would no longer work. I would focus on our home life.

And with that we have a new series: The Joys and Perils of a Luxe Life where Michael explores the ups and downs of being a house husband and how growing into ‘œcomfortable’ often comes with a range of discomforts. After all, relationships and money ‘“ go hand in hand! Please welcome Michael to Queercents. You can learn more about him by reading his complete bio before HomeEc 101 kicks off later today.
